The latest addition to the WilliamHill Sports line-up is the popular in-play betting game Passoker.
William Hill Sports has just become the latest online gaming provider to add Passoker to its mix. Passoker is a popular in-play betting game that requires no skill and awards points, thus cash, for actions occurring in a live cricket or tennis match taking place.
In a game of Passoker, players sit a 10-seated tables and place bets on certain instances in a game, like free-throws in cricket or double faults in tennis. Every time that incident occurs, the player who bet on it gets points. At the end of the live match being wagered on, the player at the Passoker table with the highest points score wins.
Passoker was initially launched back in September, 2010 after 2 years of development that included a former New England footballer on the development team. Passoker is designed to complement nearly any sporting event, not just cricket and tennis, as long as it is time-based or incident based (e.g. goals). As such Passoker has been played during rugby, football, NFL football, snooker and darts, among others. It doesn’t even need to be a sporting event per se that players bet on, as long as enough people are interested to fill the Passoker Table. The first such games, to be played against a television program rather than a live sporting match, were Coronation Street and Match Day.
William Hill is the largest online gaming provider to add Passoker to its inventory of betting opportunities.
